The “Caribbean American Heritage Month Celebration Committee” of Springfield is a local chapter/member of the national commemorative committee.
The vision for the National Caribbean American Heritage Month (NCAHM) June designation program is to create a network of Caribbean American leaders driven by a passion to cultivate an enduring community that allow each local commemorative committee to provide the venues in cities and towns across the country that will create an environment through which Americans of all backgrounds and nationalities will join in the commemoration of June as National Caribbean American Heritage Month in order to recognize the significance of Caribbean people and their descendants in the history and culture of the United States.
